Antoinette “Moose” Mussorici started coming to the Stutz Basketball Academy as a very good 7th grade basketball player. Like so many other young kids, she needed to learn how to go from a “young persons technique” to the next level. She had incredible skill and a desire to work hard and learn. Over the years, she has developed into an outstanding basketball player. To the point where she now holds various records at St. Pius X.
As she finished her high School career recently, (She will be playing at D-II William Jewell College next year), “Moose” leaves as the schools All-Time Career Points Leader with 1,560. This break the record that stood for over 11 years. She is also the schools record holder for 3-Point Shots Made at 154 and Career Free Throw Percentage at 76%.
At a recent workout I told her that her “Step-Back” Jumper was so quick and fundamentally sound, it was unstoppable, even if the opposing coach was yelling out that it was coming. To that Moose replied, “I remember the day you taught me that, coach.” Needless to say, I got chills! Congratulations Moose on a great career in High School. Now it’s on to bigger and better things as a Lady Cardinal.
